I’m not sure why I made Oktoberfest in l33t sp33k or why I change the C to a K…or even why it’s called Oktoberfest (I just made up a name for my personal October events)…but it’s coming pretty damn close to October, considering I wait for this month all year.  Every weekend in October, I’ll be headed out to as many haunted houses as I can…culminating with the Haunted Catacombs at the end.  The idea is to get as drunk/high as possible before going in, keeping your cool and just enjoying the scenery.  Then, watch a B-Horror movie out of the pack from Best Buy.

Most of them admittedly suck.  We’ve gone to ones that made us feel bad for giving up $10.  There are a few surprisingly good ones though…like this one in Akron that we went to last year.  They had a monster truck ride in the back and we didn’t expect much from the houses – it looked really cheap inside.  We heard there was an R rated house though…something we’ve never seen before so we had to get in on it.  We went to it after the other houses and it really was pretty good.  The kids who put on the scene really tried to make it feel real…they swore and had guns…blood spattered from the shots…it was just missing boobies.  They even had great effects for a police car being outside the house.  More time went into this one because the kids wanted it to be good, instead of just standing around collecting their pay.

So…keep your October schedules clear.  Oktoberspooktacularwitchandbatfest 2009 is coming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
